We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you create a Registration ID on the site or when you download free software or App, enter a contest, order email newsletters or join a limited-access premium site. We use your Personal Information for four primary purposes:

If you decide to register, you will be required to share personal information and select the kinds of information you want to receive from us by subscribing to various services, like our electronic newsletters. If you do not want us to communicate with you about other offers regarding SafeMatch products, programs, events, or services by email, postal mail, or telephone, you may select the option stating that you do not wish to receive marketing messages from SafeMatch. The personal information we collect is to administer the services provided by SafeMatch. The personal information may include name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and mailing address. The personal information may also include User health information which is sent by lab testing site to SafeMatch on written request of User or which is sent by User themselves. The information may be sent by email, mail, fax or in-App camera. The received health information is uploaded by SafeMatch team to matching User account with registered phone number. The health information is not shared with anyone else except the User. The User health information shared by lab testing site to SafeMatch is not kept at SafeMatch site beyond 7 days. After 7 days, the User health information received from clinic or from User themselves is confidentially shredded or deleted.

In the mobile application, first User may request another second User to share the health information using the phone number of second User. In the same mobile application, first User may also approve a second User request and share their own (first User’s) health information. The health information exchanged between the two Users is not accessible to any other User. SafeMatch team member will not access the shared health information unless required by law. User’s request/approve history of other User is stored in a secured encrypted file that is only accessible from User’s own account. The maximum personal information (besides health information) shared between the two Users is limited to first name, birth month, and phone number. User’s have option to hide first name and birth month during stages of request and approval process. SafeMatch also monitors number of requests placed by first User for second User. If a second User receive excessive number of frequent requests by first User, SafeMatch can be asked to prevent this from happening further.

When a User grant approval to share health information to second User, second User only has access to the shared information for up to 7 days. However, sharing access lasts only 1 hr after first access. Shared information includes for last testing date, information of last health record, and number of tests conducted in past one year. A second User who receives shared health information of first User is responsible to maintain confidentiality and secrecy of the shared information. A second User must not share the shared information to anyone else or copy it any form including picture, written, or electronic device. If a second User does not maintain the confidentiality of shared information of first User, second User will be subject to any lawful legal proceedings and liable to pay damages that may arise due to neglect, or carelessness, or willful intention.

When a User (first User) grant approval to share health information to second User, first User should make sure that the second User is someone not an unknown person and who can be trusted. Such an approval by a User is treated legally as similar to an approval level when a User asks his doctor to share User’s health information to another person by submitting a request in writing. In this case, doctor then sends User’s health information to another person as legal approval or waiver has been received from User. SafeMatch, or any member affiliated with SafeMatch such as SafeMatch team member, will not be legally responsible or liable for any damages for any mistake that may arise from User’s approving health record to be seen by a second User. User takes full responsibility in sharing health information and in no way put SafeMatch responsible for approving second User’s request. User receiving a request always has the option to not respond or contact SafeMatch team for support.

By registering User accepts to receive text messages, message directly on phone and email either from SafeMatch team or other Users on SafeMatch platform. If User do not want to receive such messages, User can reach out to SafeMatch team for further support.

SafeMatch may record certain transactions such as User’s username, User’s phone number, User’s email address, IP address of device, type of operating system of device, web browser, and other information not related to User’s account. This is important to administer and improve SafeMatch Services to Users. Record keeping will not contain any other User’s personal information such as address, date of birth, password, and User health information. Record keeping may also include User’s search/approve history of other User’s and is only limited to the User’s username and User’s phone number. All these records are kept secured and only used for improving the SafeMatch Services to the User. These records will be deleted by not more that 7 days of their creation date.

SafeMatch Chat services gives you ability to chat with clinic, healthcare providers, sex educators, school instructors or any other SafeMatch User in anonymous manner. You have an option to hide your name during anonymize chat. These services are for educational purpose only and for obtaining answers to basic questions. Questions may be related to general health, sexual health, etc. If you are discussion your medical treatment with your clinic, you must verify your identity with clinic or healthcare provider and give consent before sharing your medical information or asking treatment related questions on Chat. SafeMatch may monitor such conversations periodically to make sure that there is no improper conduct and that all parties comply with local regulations and laws. SafeMatch may keep a copy of chat messages for no more than a 1 year. SafeMatch will not share these informations with third-parties or use for any research. However, SafeMatch may share Chat messages with local authorities only for compliance purpose. 


We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time by signing in to the mobile application. There, you can:

  • View and edit personal information you have already given us.
  • Tell us whether you want us to send you marketing information, or whether you want third parties to send you their offers by postal mail.
  • Sign up for electronic newsletters about our services and products.
  • Have option to delete health data and search history data.
  • Once you register, you won’t need to do it again. Wherever you go on or mobile application, your information stays with you.

SafeMatch strictly protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for its intended use. User health information and history of other interaction is encrypted and secured with a password which is unique to each User account. The password is not even visible to the User and encrypted by cloud key management service. In addition, the cloud server which stores User’s encrypted files provides additional protection to limit access to these files by any other User account. Multiple security approaches ensure that User data is only accessible by the User with valid credentials. User’s mobile application may store User data, but data is stored only in encrypted form. Cloud key management system is needed every time to decrypt the encrypted password and then the decrypted password is then used to decrypt User file and show the information to the User.

Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except when required by the law. Your information may be stored and processed in United States or any other country where SafeMatch, its subsidiaries, affiliates or agents are located.

You also have a significant role in protecting your information. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your user name and password, so do not share username and password with others. You must not save password anywhere on the mobile application itself or store password using any of the services provided by mobile application. In an event that someone has access to your phone, User security of SafeMatch can be compromised if User password is accessible from the phone itself. User is responsible for maintaining the security of mobile application and update mobile application and SafeMatch mobile application when the updates are available and communicated to User. A User must log out of SafeMatch mobile application every time after a User log in to account. A User whose account is not logged out completely may expose User information to other people with access to mobile application. SafeMatch will not be responsible for any damages that arise due to User’s negligence in maintaining the security of account as described above.


We will give you opportunity to opt-out of communication or notifications sent using email, phone number or directly through the mobile application. You should contact SafeMatch team when such Opt-out is needed. At User’s request, SafeMatch can also delete the User’s account.

User always has the option to delete all the User’s history of information shared or exchanged with other User’s on SafeMatch mobile application. At any time, User can go to personal settings and delete the file which stores all the User’s history of information shared or exchanged with other Users. User health information, however, is not deleted immediately unless there are errors reported in same. If User initiates a request to close their account, SafeMatch will not store User’s past health record and User information beyond 1 year of account closure. This requirement protects SafeMatch from abuse by Users and/or comply with the law when required to do so.


Parents or guardians: we want to help you guard your children’s privacy. We encourage you to talk to your children about safe and responsible use of their Personal Information while using the Internet.

The SafeMatch site does not publish content that is targeted to children. However, if you are concerned about your children providing SafeMatch any personal information without your consent, SafeMatch can offer a Kids account. It allows parents to give parental consent for the collection, use and sharing of children’s (ages 12 and under) personal information online.

When you buy and install a new product, we may ask you to register your purchase electronically. When you do, we merge your registration information with any information you’ve already left with us (we call that information your personal profile). If you haven’t previously registered with us, we create a personal profile for you from your product registration information. If you ever want to review or update that information, you can visit the mobile application, and edit any of the Personal Information in your profile. When you register, we create your profile, assign a personal identification number (or Username), then send this personal identification number back to your hard drive in the form of a cookie, which is a very small bit of code. This code is uniquely yours. It is your passport to seamless travel across SafeMatch services, allowing you to download free software, order free newsletters, and visit premium sites without having to fill out registration forms with information you’ve already provided. Even if you switch computers or mobile application, you won’t have to re-register – just use your Username to identify yourself.

When you join us, you provide us with your contact information, including your name and email address. We use this information to send you updates about your order, questionnaires to measure your satisfaction with our service and announcements about new and exciting services that we offer. When you order from us, we ask for your credit card number and billing address. We use this information only to bill you for the product(s) you order at that time. For your convenience, we do save billing information in case you want to order from us again, but we don’t use this information again without your permission.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail and processing event registration. Besides our Cloud Service Provider, Email and Fax providers, no other third-party companies will have access to your personal, health or shared information. We have agreements with Cloud Provider, Email and Fax providers to ensure that they follow standards typically used in healthcare settings.
